Little Giggles

I realize my past couple of postings have been about Charlotte, but I am playing catch-up on 5 months of life, and she has changed the most of all the kids. This is a video of her first belly laugh caught on video. There is also a picture posted of her after a bath, and sucking her fingers; this is her coping mechanism. Finally our most recent updated photo. I believe she is a little over 4 1/2 months. Enjoy, I do!

Nina Turns Two.

Nina had a great birthday in November. It was a family party, including her adopted uncle Nick Coakley. He is her "person." She thinks he belongs to her. She always called him Coaky, but in recent weeks has learned to call him by his real name. We are all a little sad about that. One of the videos is of her on her birthday. I actually had to blow her candle out, because I was afraid she was going to get a burn because she was leaning in to close to the candle. The other video is of her doing what she does best, falling asleep wherever she is. Forgive me for taking video of it. I realize it's very un-motherly, but I swear I couldn't help it.

Patient And Long-Suffering

If you didn't believe my previous post about Charlotte being patient and long-suffering, here is some proof. I came downstairs, after just having given the baby a bath and what do I find? Lincoln has absolutely smeared her head with Lubriderm which is, by the way, incredibly greasy, and not cheap. I asked him what the heck he was thinking? He replied, "I was making her handsome like me." Lincoln has not yet learned the difference between lotion and hair gel. I've even caught him rubbing soft-soap on his head. I don't notice the difference until it starts to bubble in the rain outside.

Charlotte The First Two Months

This is a picture of Charlotte around two months old. Tummy time has paid off now, but she sure hated it then. It was a miracle to capture this photo. I don't know if any of you have seen the movie "The Night at the Museum #2," but she reminded us very much of those Einstein bobble heads for a while. "That's the way uh-huh, uh-uh I like it!" Charlotte is a dream baby. She hardly ever cries, and is pleasant most of the time. I have had to be careful to make sure she gets enough to eat, because she is not a squeaky wheel. In fact, I have to wake her up at night to feed her. She wanted to sleep through the night, but the doctors said she was underweight. She has a very sweet nature about her. I feel very blessed to have her in our home.
